Baljit Singh Kakharoo is a well known name in Kashyap Rajput community. He is leading industrialist and businessman of society. He started his career as a civil contractor. He was elected President of The Chandigarh Kashyap Rajput Sabha (Regd.) in 2000. He gave his best for the development of Maharishi Kashyap Bhawan at sector 37 in Chandigarh. His elder son S. Rajinder Singh contributed a lot of for construction of this bhawan. He has proud to become the first member of Kashyap Kranti magazine & after chief pattron of Kashyap Kranti magazine. He is also chief pattron of Amar Shahid Baba Moti Ram Mehra Memorial Charitable Trust (Regd.), Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. He was awarded with Life Time Achievement Award for his community services by Kashyap Kranti magazine. He has presided and was chief guest of Kashyap Rajput Parivar Sammelan many times organized by Kashyap Kranti magazine.
